Nursery Dots and Stripes For Kids
Came across these vintage style kids fabrics and had to share them with you. There is definitely something appealing about these designs that take us back to days gone by.
Here are the samples I came across from Hatched and Patched:

Click here if you would like some more details.
There is also a yellow version of the top sample.
I wish I had a friend or family member expecting a new baby so that I’d have the perfect excuse to buy these fabrics and make something.
They lend themselves to so many ideas and projects. Wouldn’t they look stylish as the trim for some cot sheets? Or perhaps used in some kid’s cushions for the bed. Or maybe incorporated into a cot quilt. And there are always soft toy patterns if you are after a smaller project. Ahhhhh so many options to think about! And still I can’t think of someone who is expecting!
Hope you like them as well.
Until next time happy fabric hunting!

Kids Retro Fabrics
Children’s retro fabrics are so much fun!
With the kids now back at school I find myself looking at kids stuff whether it be school library bags, pencil cases, backpacks or book covers. There’s something happy about children’s designs which is why I had to smile at this children’s retro fabric I just came across. Thought I would share it with you.

It’s from the Alexander Henry Juicy Jungle range. I just love that pink elephant. Wouldn’t she look great in a children’s room? The fabric sells for $10.95 AU per 1/2 yard (a bit less than a metre) There’s also a striped fabric from the same range that would co ordinate beautifully. Here it is:

And just to tempt lovers of retro children’s fabric even further Retro Mummy are offering free shipping within Australia. There are only 2 units left so be quick. Here’s the link if you would like to find out more about these two fabrics:

They also have some adorable vintage style Japanese children’s fabrics featuring fairy-tales such as Jack in the Bean Stalk and Little Bo Peep. My favourite is the Little French Girls.
